Preventative Services

Study after study has shown that having a healthy mouth is critical to having a healthy body.  Keeping your teeth and gums free of disease and working at their best is the most important thing that we do in our office.  Regular dental cleanings, exams, x-rays, fluoride, and sealants will help to keep you and your family healthy and allow us to find potential problems early on.  When problems are diagnosed early, they are often easier, more predictable and less costly to treat, which is why we believe nothing is more important than maintaining regular cleaning and checkup appointments when it comes to keeping you healthy.

Here are a few simple ways that can help keep your teeth healthy:

  • Brush 2x daily.

Do you brush your teeth twice a day? This practice is essential for preventative dental care and your overall health. Not only will this keep your breath fresh, but you’ll remove food particles and plaque from your teeth and gums. Don’t forget to brush the top of your tongue, too!

  • Don’t forget to floss!

How often should you floss? At least once a day. Unfortunately, your toothbrush bristles don’t reach all the way between your teeth. Flossing regularly will keep your teeth and gums healthy for years to come. It will also keep your breath nice and fresh!

  • Eat healthy, often.

We all know that sugar takes a toll on your teeth. Eating healthy is essential for both your dental health and overall health and wellness. Choose fresh, seasonal vegetables or sugar-free snacks to keep you satisfied all day long.

  • Get a check-up.

How often do you visit the dentist? It’s important to stick to a schedule. We recommend that our patients visit us twice a year for a regular cleaning and check-up.
